Wink Inc., Quiksilver and Travis Rice team up to bring you the most progressive snowboard competition of the year, the first annual Natural Selection 2008 in Jackson Hole, WY.
The world’s best snowboarding athletes gathered in Jackson Hole for the snowboarding event of the year, an all natural big mountain competition. Hometown hero and international snowboarding super star, Travis Rice, handpicked 16 premiere boarders to compete for two days of fierce competition.
Wink Inc. caught this synergy of natural events and human efforts using film’s most cutting edge technology. A Hollywood team of cameramen were commissioned to catch the full length of each rider’s Dick’s Ditch run with a high speed HD cable camera. Single cameramen were strategically placed along the slopes to capture every air and cliff drop. Wink’s tireless editors worked through the night to bring you next day HD web coverage of the exciting event.

The Verizon Slide and Ski Weekend transformed Jackson Hole Mountain Resort into an exciting weekend of luge training and racing and exposed thousands of winter enthusiasts to the Fastest Sport on Ice, free of charge!
Racers who participated in the Verizon Ski and Slide Weekend experienced the thrill of luge in a safe slope-side setting, with instruction from the entire 15-member USA Luge World Cup and international team, including two-time Olympic medalists Mark Grimmette and Brian Martin, and two-time Olympians Tony Benshoof and Courtney Zablocki. Benshoof and Zablocki each raced to fourth-place finishes during the 2006 Olympic luge competitions in Torino, Italy.

Dew Action Sports Tour
Wink Inc teamed up with Fuel TV (the 24 hour
action sports channel) for the Dew Action Sports
Tour. The Dew Action Sports Tour is a five month,
five locations action sports tour; that has highlighted
the growing popularity and rising standards, and
stars in the world of FSX, BMX, and skateboarding.
Wink Inc worked with Fuel TV’s on-site
activation; in conjunction with top athletes including
Bob Burnquist, Ryan Guettler, Nate Adams and Ryan
Sheckler. Fans at the tour were given the opportunity
to be hosts for Fuel TV; questioning athletes
about life in the spotlight, pursuing their passion
and pushing their limits on a daily basis.

The Delta Center in the heart of downtown Salt
Lake City, Utah was the site of this year's Red
Bull Heavy Metal-an action-packed urban railslide
snowboarding competition. The event featured amazing
displays of mind-blowing railriding from the sport's
top riders. Wink Inc. managed Heavy Metal from start
to finish and provided a rockin' good time for nearly
10,000 spectators. |
Location: Tehachapee, CA
The sunny skies and beautiful scenery of Tehachapee,
California made Woodward West the perfect location
for BMX P.I.G. The event brought the best BMX riders
from around the globe to compete for bragging rights
and title of BMX P.I.G Champion. Wink Inc. had every
angle covered in stunning high definition as riders
flipped and whipped their way through the week of
shooting. This six-show series received heavy playtime
on Rush HD. Wink Inc. was responsible for managing
every aspect of this event and production.
